Remembering

Remembering

Every year at 11am on 11 November—the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month—we pause to remember those men and women who have served and those who have died in all wars and peacekeeping operations.

Austral Public School was honored to have Lieutenant Colonel Lyall Wood AM RFD visit us on Remembrance Day. He commenced his military career in SUR in December 1965 and was commissioned in January 1968. His Regimental service continued till 1982. He was one of three students who passed the Army Reserve Senior Officers Tactics Course 1984 and was awarded the Blamey Sword of Honour as the Top Student.

Austral Public School remembers those that sacrificed so much. Pictured is Lieutenant Colonel Lyall Wood AM RFD sharing rememberances with Austral Public School Year 5 Future Leader candidates (Clarita, Muhammad, Hermione, Siya, Aryan, and Oliver).
