My Time at Austral Public School
My family and I have lived in Austral since 1978, and I attended Austral Public School for all of my primary school years. It was here, in Kindergarten, that I met my best friend Julie — a friendship that has remained strong for 44 years.
I have many fond memories of my time at the school, especially my sporting achievements, including winning a State relay title in Year 6 with three of my peers. Academically, I also performed well, and in those days class rankings were awarded — something I took pride in.
Austral was a small rural school where strong friendships were formed, and lifelong memories were made. I look back on my years there with great appreciation and affection.
